How does a carbon laser facial work?

A layer of liquid carbon will be applied to the face, this penetrates deep into the skin’s surface. Pulses of laser light blast the carbon particles away to create a more youthful, even complexion. In addition, the laser energy stimulates the fibroblast cells, leading to increased production of new collagen and elastin. This improves the texture and appearance of the skin, evening out discolouration and shrinking pores, whilst reducing the appearance of lines and wrinkles.

What does the treatment feel like?

The laser element of the treatment can be surprising by the sound of the laser as it makes contact with the carbon mask on your skin. A 'zap' sound emits from the laser. Whilst some consider this point of contact completely painless, others have experienced a little discomfort which is moderate and completely acceptable requiring zero anaesthesia. Most people describe feeling warmed skin and liken the occasional 'zap' with a quick, fine pinprick. Others experience no sensation at all.

How many sessions will I need?
Results can be seen after just a few treatments. However, a minimum of 3 and up to 6 sessions, are recommended depending on your skin concerns. Treatments are carried out every 4 to 6 weeks. Following your course of treatments, top-up sessions are performed as required, but usually once or twice a year.
